The graduate program in English at the University of Oregon includes traditional literary history and textual study, as well as coursework in critical theory, ethnic pieces of literature, gender studies, cultural studies, rhetoric and composition, postcolonial studies, ecocriticism, folklore, film and television, and popular culture.
Students in the masters of arts program may pursue a traditional master of arts degree emphasizing any of these fields.
Prerequisites
- Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.5
- Non-Native speakers: a minimum score of 600 on paper-based TOEFL, a minimum score of 100 on IBT (26+ on the speaking section), or a minimum score of 8.0 on IELTS
