Academic Year: 2024-25
Duties:
• Teaching Drill sections 2 days per week – Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Grading homework and tests
• Proctoring tests, holding weekly lab hours
• Attending class-preparation meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
• Near native proficiency in Japanese (oral and written)
• Familiar with romanized Japanese, kana, and kanji
• Basic computer skills (Word, PPT, and Excel - English & Japanese)
• Communication and problem-solving skills (team teaching)
• The ability to follow instructions, work accurately and in a timely fashion

• the times you will be available to teach in Fall 2024 on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• your preferences regarding (1) whether you would like to teach 2 or 3 sections, and (2)
whether you would prefer to teach 100-level, 200-level, or 300-level classes
• be prepared to have your language ability assessed by a Japanese instructor
Please note this position is for Fall 2024 only. If you are hired for this position, your assignment will be determined based on:
course enrollment, your preferences, your language skills, and your class schedule.
