Funded by the Division of Graduate Studies and the Gary E. Smith Foundation, this award supports UO master’s, doctoral, and law students selected to present their research at a conference to offset travel, registration, and lodging expenses.

Eligibility
- Master’s, doctoral, and law students, regardless of immigration status or work eligibility
- Must be making satisfactory academic progress toward completion of degree requirements. Review the Division of Graduate Studies' satisfactory progress requirement for details.
- Must be enrolled full time at the time of award disbursement
Award Details
- Approximately 1-2 weeks after receiving an approval notification, the approved award amount will be disbursed to student’s UO Student Billing Account.
- Students must be enrolled full-time, pursuing a UO graduate degree, and making satisfactory academic progress at the time of disbursement.
- Awards cannot be deferred.

Application Requirements
- Copy of your official acceptance notice to present at a conference
- Copy of the conference program and agenda
- Receipt(s) or invoice(s) for expenses related to presenting your research such as lodging, air travel, registration, or poster materials.
