Summer Tuition Waiver

GEs employed at or above the minimum FTE for a GE position are exempt from payment of tuition and of fees for self-support courses that are required for the completion of the degree for up to 16 credit hours taken in any quarter to which the appointment applies. See Article 23 of the GTFF CBA for details. 

Students should consult Article 19, Section 6 of the GTFF CBA for more information on their fee responsibilities during Summer.

Note: The summer tuition waiver does NOT cover courses not required for the degree, such as PE classes or other classes that do not count toward a degree.

No action needed to receive the tuition/fee remission. 

 

No Summer GE appointment, but held GE appointments in at least two of the preceding three quarters (Fall, Winter, Spring)

GE is responsible for: 

Submit the Summer Tuition Waiver Request Form by the priority deadline of June 1. For late submissions, the Division of Graduate Studies cannot guarantee that the tuition waiver will be applied in time to avoid late fees and billing charges on their summer tuition balance.
