Updated 3/18/2020: In light of the evolving COVID-19 health situation, the Division of Graduate Studies is temporarily modifying some of our standard policies and procedures - visit this page for details.
Once you have successfully defended your thesis or dissertation and the content of your thesis or dissertation has been approved by your committee, you must electronically submit your final thesis or dissertation to the ProQuest Electronic Thesis or Dissertation (ETD) Administrator.
Master's Students: your submission IS NOT COMPLETE until you have uploaded and submitted your thesis to the ETD Administrator AND submitted the Master's Thesis Approval Form.
Doctoral Students: a signed dissertation approval form is no longer required. Your committee chair will receive an email with instructions for providing their approval of the final dissertation in GradWeb.

Master's students: submit the signed master's thesis approval form.
Choose one of the submission options:

PhD Students Only: Complete the survey of earned doctorates. Individual reports are kept confidential and are used for statistical purposes only. The information provided by this national survey is extremely helpful to graduate schools, workforce planning and funding agencies.
Within 1-3 weeks after submitting your ETD and approval form, you will receive an email from the Division of Graduate Studies notifying you of any required formatting corrections.
If any corrections are required, you will have one week to make the corrections and upload a revised PDF.
Once your ETD has been approved by the Division of Graduate Studies, you will receive an email confirming final approval.

The ETD submission must be successfully completed on ProQuest by 11:59 p.m. on the deadline.
