Duties:

The following positions for the discussion section leader or course grader may be available: 

CLAS 110: Classical Mythology 

CLAS 111: Ancient Athletics in Greece and Rome 

CLAS 201: Greek Life and Culture 

CLAS 202: Roman Life and Culture 

HUM 101: Introduction to Humanities I 

HUM 102: Introduction to Humanities II 

HUM 103: Introduction to Humanities III 

HUM 300: Themes in the Humanities 

REL 101: World Religions: Asian Traditions 

REL 102: World Religions: Near Eastern Traditions 

REL 222: Introduction to the Bible I 

REL 223: Introduction to the Bible II 

The duties may include: 

  • Attend lectures, teach discussion sections, grade assigned examinations, and student papers.
  • Attend weekly meetings of GEs and the faculty supervisor.
  • Hold office hours 

(Circumstances may occur where changes must be made to the above duties; final assignments will be clearly outlined in any offer letter.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants should have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the course topic.
  • Interest and experience in teaching.
  • Ability and desire to work with students.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities
