Made possible by a generous donation of Mr. Lorry I. Lokey, the Lokey Graduate Science Awards aim to help doctoral programs compete with AAU benchmark institutions in the recruitment of the top students into their programs.
Award Details
The deans of each qualifying Unit/College will propose how, and to which programs, funds will be allocated to improve the quality and quantity of graduate students in the doctoral science programs. Proposed uses of the Lokey ISI Funds will be submitted to the Vice Provost for Graduate Studies and Director of Admissions for review and approval.
Qualifying Disciplines
- Doctoral programs that fall into one of the following NSF research areas:
- Biological sciences
- Computer and information science and engineering
- Engineering
- Environmental research and education
- Geosciences
- Integrative Activities
- International Science and Engineering
- Mathematical and physical sciences
- Social, behavioral and economic sciences
- STEM Education
- Technology, Innovation and Partnerships
