Fall ‘26 Article Workshop
Monday, November 23, 2026 · 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Knight Library DREAM Lab (LIB 122)
The New Media and Culture Certificate invites you to its Fall 2026 Article Workshop, a collaborative session where graduate students present article drafts and get careful, generous feedback from colleagues across disciplines. Two essays were selected from a competitive pool of applicants for this term’s workshop: one by Shao-Chi Ou (Comparative Literature) and one by Cassandra Hoglund (Folklore & Public Culture). Each essay will get focused discussion of its argument, structure, and stakes, with an eye toward preparing it for publication. UO graduate students and faculty interested in new media, digital culture, and critical approaches to technology are warmly invited.
This event is open only to UO graduate students and faculty, and attendance is capped at 20 participants. Please RSVP on the following form to reserve a spot. https://forms.gle/nLy7LzdmrZU9ULEd7 [Essays will be circulated to registered participants in advance.] Coffee, tea, and pastries will be served.
