Duties:
The Division of Graduate Studies is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative graduate funding support specialist to assist in awards promotion and processing and improve graduate student access to national and international funding resources and opportunities. As part of a team of four Graduate Employees (GEs), you will work alongside a highly collaborative and engaged Division staff who value graduate education and care about the success and wellbeing of graduate students. This position reports to the Director of Diversity and Inclusion and requires 19 hours weekly work in-person on the Eugene campus. This is a one-year appointment with possibility of reappointment for a maximum of two years.
Responsibilities
• Support the administration of graduate student scholarships and awards
• Support division communications and outreach
• Coordinate and host graduate student events
• Support the administration of graduate student services and Division initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants should have:
• Previous experience with information, workflow, or application management systems such as Qualtrics, Smartsheet, Slate, or UO Scholarship Dashboard
• Previous experience processing applications, confirming eligibility, or advising applicants
• Demonstrated competence in responding to inquiries professionally and clearly
• Demonstrated competence with organization, recordkeeping, and project/task management
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Values collaboration and learning in a team environment
