Duties:
The Division of Graduate Studies is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative graduate onboarding support specialist to assist in programming and communication efforts that enhance new graduate student experiences and success, especially new international graduate students, graduate students from underrepresented groups, and graduate students with families. As part of a team of four Graduate Employees (GEs), you will work alongside a highly collaborative and engaged Division staff who value graduate education and care about the success and wellbeing of graduate students. This position reports to the Director of Diversity and requires 19 hours weekly work in-person on the Eugene campus. This is a one-year appointment with possibility of reappointment for a maximum of two years. Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants should have:
• Previous experience in first-year experience programming or event planning and coordination
• Demonstrated competence working with international communities
• Previous experience in communication, including video making, website design and management, web accessibility best practices, and branding standards
• Demonstrated competence with organization, recordkeeping, and project/task management
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Values collaboration and learning in a team environment
