Graduate Programming Support Specialist

Duties:

The Division of Graduate Studies is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative graduate programming support specialist to assist in community development and programming that enhances underrepresented graduate student experiences and success. As part of a team of four Graduate Employees (GEs), you will work alongside a highly collaborative and engaged Division staff who value graduate education and care about the success and wellbeing of graduate students. This position reports to the Director of Diversity and requires 19 hours weekly work in-person on the Eugene campus. This is a one-year appointment with possibility of reappointment for a maximum of two years. 

Responsibilities 

• Support the planning and implementation of graduate student programming 

• Support the administration of graduate student programming funds 

• Coordinate and host graduate student events 

• Support the administration of graduate student services and Division initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants should have:

• Previous experience in programming or event planning and coordination 

• Previous experience in purchasing or budget compliance 

• Demonstrated competence working with diverse communities 

• Demonstrated competence with scheduling, organization, recordkeeping, and project/task management 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy 

• Values collaboration and learning in a team environment
