Duties:
Seeking qualified applicants for one Graduate Employee Teaching position at .49 FTE for the 2026-27 academic year (fall 2026, winter 2027, and spring 2027). The successful candidate will act as section leader for CINE 265, 266, and 267, the History of Motion Pictures sequence of courses. Responsibilities include class administration, section leadership, office hours, weekly sessions with faculty supervisors, and evaluation and grading of students' performance. Class times will be scheduled throughout the week, and discussion section teaching responsibilities are typically on Fridays. Graduate students pursuing a doctoral degree in any discipline may apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Substantial background and/or current academic coursework or research in film and media studies.
-Experience collaborating and grading preferred. -Strong interdisciplinary background.
-Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
-Ability to work independently to assigned deadlines.
-Previous teaching experience.
Among applicants meeting the qualifications outlined above, preference will be given to CAS doctoral students.
