Duties:

Seeking 2 qualified applicants for Graduate Employee Teaching positions at .49 FTE for the 2025-26 academic year (fall 2025, winter 2026, and spring 2026). The successful candidates will act as section leaders for CINE 265, 266, and 267, the History of Motion Pictures sequence of courses. Responsibilities include class administration, section leadership, office hours, weekly sessions with faculty supervisors, and evaluation and grading of students' performance. Class times will be scheduled throughout the week, and discussion section teaching responsibilities are typically on Fridays.

Graduate students pursuing a doctoral degree in any discipline may apply. 

Preferred Qualifications:

-Substantial background and/or current academic coursework or research in film and media studies.
-Experience collaborating and grading preferred. 
-Strong interdisciplinary background. 
-Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. 
-Ability to work independently to assigned deadlines. 
-Previous teaching experience.

-If available, teaching evaluations from any previously taught courses; 
-Unofficial transcripts; 
-Contact information for at least two people (one of which should be the candidate’s advisor) who can speak to the candidate’s qualifications, promise as a teaching assistant, and progress toward degree.
