Duties:

PLEASE NOTE: THIS APPOINTMENT IS FOR WINTER TERM ONLY.

The Department of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies is seeking one GE to serve as a teaching assistant for WGS 201 Intro to Queer Studies. 

The GE will be expected to:

  • Attend class meetings (Monday/Wednesday, 12:00-1:20 pm in 101 Knight Library)
  • Grade assignments and exams/papers for a course with 80 students
  • Take and enter attendance
  • 1 office hour per week

Graduate students pursuing any master’s or doctoral degree may apply. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Substantial background in intersectional women's and gender studies.
  • Record of academic excellence and/or important experience in intersectional women's and gender issues. 
  • Strong interdisciplinary background. 
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity. 
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Previous teaching experience 
  • Enrollment in the Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies’ graduate certificate program. .
