Duties:
PLEASE NOTE: THIS APPOINTMENT IS FOR WINTER TERM ONLY.
The Department of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies is seeking one GE to serve as a teaching assistant for WGS 201 Intro to Queer Studies.
The GE will be expected to:
- Attend class meetings (Monday/Wednesday, 12:00-1:20 pm in 101 Knight Library)
- Grade assignments and exams/papers for a course with 80 students
- Take and enter attendance
- 1 office hour per week
Graduate students pursuing any master’s or doctoral degree may apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Substantial background in intersectional women's and gender studies.
- Record of academic excellence and/or important experience in intersectional women's and gender issues.
- Strong interdisciplinary background.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to work independently.
- Previous teaching experience
- Enrollment in the Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies’ graduate certificate program. .
