What is the National Name Exchange?

To help pave the way for exemplary undergraduate students to attend graduate school, the University of Oregon participates in the Council of Graduate School’s National Name Exchange (NNE). The NNE connects high-achieving students from historically underrepresented backgrounds with graduate programs in their academic areas of interest. Roughly 90+ U.S. colleges and universities participate in this exchange to support their students’ interests in pursuing a graduate degree. Learn more about the NNE.

Who is eligible?

All domestic students are eligible to participate (including green card holders and permanent residents). We particularly encourage students who have a cumulative GPA over 3.0 to enroll in NNE. Student nomination to participate in NNE is coordinated by staff on college campuses. If you would like to know who your NNE coordinator is, please email nne@cgs.nche.edu.

When is the deadline?

The deadline for participation is Friday, June 19, 2026.
