Claim UO digital access

Claim your Duck ID, obtain your PAC, reset it in DuckWeb, set-up DUO, and access your UO email.

Claim Notice of Appointment

 Review and accept your Notice of Appointment, which will be sent via UO email.

First day details

Confirm your arrival and first day of work details with your supervisor.

Register for credits

Register for a minimum of 9 graduate credits. See the Credit Limits and Full-Time Course Load policy

First Day

Description

Schedule meeting with supervisor

Schedule time to meet with your supervisor to confirm completion of all onboarding/payroll forms, set up direct deposit via DuckWeb, and gain workspace access (e.g., keys, door codes). Required forms include Form I‑9 (eligibility verification), W‑4 (tax withholding), direct deposit enrollment, emergency contact information, and presentation of a government‑issued ID for I‑9 and UO ID card issuance.

Add emergency contacts

Add emergency contacts and sign up for UO Alerts. Log into DuckWeb, click on "Personal Information", click on "Enter/Update Emergency Alert Phone(s)".

UO identification card

Get your Flock (UO ID) card.

Request accommodations

Request any work accommodations. The Office of Equal Opportunity and Access/Workplace ADA can assist.

Parking access

Please review and sign up for transportation and parking (optional).

Orientation meeting

Attend a graduate employee orientation session.

Review the internal site, DuckWeb, email, intranet, and the UO's IT Service Portal .

Mandatory trainings

Complete mandatory trainings. Title IX: Non-discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation and Graduate Employment at the UO: An Overview of Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines for GEs .
