Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
GEs at .49 FTE are responsible for assisting the instructor
- leading two (2) discussion sections of SOC 204 or SOC 207
- grading.
GEs at .40 FTE are responsible for assisting the instructor and grading.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants should have:
• Significant understanding of the sociological perspective with an emphasis on fundamental concepts, theories, and methods of research.
• Significant knowledge of social inequality based on social class, race, and gender, both cross-culturally and within the United States.
• Record of academic excellence.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal skills

Graduate students pursuing any Master’s or doctoral degree may apply. Submit a cover letter along with an application or resume, containing a list of Sociology or related courses completed and grades received (unofficial copies of transcripts are acceptable). Provide contact information for at least two people who can comment on your skills or promise as a teaching assistant.
