Safely Getting Around Campus

Duck Rides:
Duck Rides is a free nighttime transportation service for UO students and employees. Rides are scheduled in the app or by calling the Duck Rides phone number during operating hours. See the Duck Rides webpage to learn more.

Safety Escorts:
University of Oregon Police Department (UOPD) staff can provide safety escorts to students and employees from any campus location to any other campus location, 24 hours per day. See the Safety Escorts webpage to learn more.

Uber Night Rides at UO

The Uber Night Rides program offers students discounted Uber rides late at night and early in the morning. This program is funded by the Associated Students of the University of Oregon and is available to all incidental fee-paying students while funding permits.

Reporting

Report Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation

Students, faculty, staff, and other members of the university community who experienced discrimination, harassment, and retaliation may submit a report using the online form on the Office of Investigations and Civil Rights Compliance (OICRC) website. The OICRC investigates alleged of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation as defined under the university’s Prohibited Discrimination and Retaliation Policy.

Investigation Process: 
When the Respondent is a student, the Student Standard Operating Procedures will be used.
When the Respondent is an employee, the Employee Formal Process will be used.

Reports of alleged misconduct may be submitted anonymously, though the university’s ability to respond to an anonymous report may be more limited.  

The University ensures access to the complaint process for individuals with disabilities or limited English proficiency by providing materials in an alternate format, translation services, or direct assistance.

Report a Concern About a Fellow Student 

If you are concerned about a student and this is a non-emergency, the Dean of Student encourages you to complete a report. There are a number of reasons why students might need help that you can report, including their physical and mental well-being, issues of bias, demonstrating concerning behaviors, or you are concerned they are missing.

Report Basic Needs Difficulties

If you are a currently enrolled UO student, or if you know of a UO student who is facing challenges with access to adequate food, stable housing, affordable childcare, or meeting other basic needs, fill out the Basic Needs Assistance Form.

The Basic Needs Program will review the form, and the student will be provided with resources via email as well as the option to meet with Basic Needs staff to walk through resources or answer any questions.

Report Denial or Failure to Provide Disability Accommodations

Students may address concerns about academic or housing accommodation decisions affecting them in two ways: 1) seek an informal resolution 2) file a formal complaint.


Students with disabilities may file a formal complaint if:

Faculty/instructors fails to implement an accommodation as assigned by the AEC.

They have complaints about the AEC decisions regarding eligibility for academic or housing accommodations, provision of accommodations, provision of communication services, and/or administrative decisions.

Collegiate Recovery Center

UO's Collegiate Recovery Center delivers peer support services to students experiencing substance use issues and provides opportunities for individuals to develop relationships within the recovery community. Through individual consults, group sessions, support meetings, and recovery events, the center helps students achieve their personal goals for recovery.

Legal services

Associated Students of the University of Oregon (ASUO) Legal Services is an ASUO incidental fee-funded program offering legal assistance exclusively to UO students. Professional services are provided to incidental fee-paying UO students by experienced legal professionals including Oregon licensed attorneys and a legal assistant.
