Discussion Section Leader for ENVS 225 Intro Food Studies

Duties:

- In class contact hours, such as attending lectures / leading discussion sections / leading review 
sessions, assisting with AV and field trips (etc) (60 hours per term)
- Preparation hours, such as constructing examinations and quizzes (40 hours per term)
- Contact hours outside the classroom, such as office hours (two hours per week), counselling, tutoring 
and special consultations (30 hours per term)
- Performance Evaluation hours per term, such as reading / grading papers (exams, quizzes, lab reports, 
and special projects), maintaining and submitting grading records in compliance with the program, and 
University, regulations (60 hours per term)
- Other responsibilities, such as assisting with registration, course publicity and information, 
administering student course evaluations, attending meetings with the Faculty Supervisor as requested, 
and sick leave substitution for other GEs or professional training (5 hours per term)

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants must be available in person during the course lecture meeting time and during 2 or more of the section meeting times.
Potential to teach on topics related to food studies.
Potential to teach on topics related to environmental studies.
Experience as an instructional graduate employee or comparable experience.
Teaching in this area builds on or builds towards applicants area(s) of interest.
