Duties:
Seeking qualified applicants for multiple Graduate Employee Teaching positions at .49 FTE for Winter and Spring 2027. The successful candidate will act as instructor of record for WGS 101, an introductory Women's and Gender Studies course. Responsibilities include class administration, lectures, office hours, weekly sessions with faculty supervisors, and evaluation and grading of students' performance. Class times will be scheduled throughout the week. Graduate students pursuing any doctoral degree may apply. Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants should have:
• Admission to a University of Oregon graduate program and currently in good standing.
• Prior independent teaching experience.
• Substantial background in intersectional women's and gender studies.
• Record of academic excellence and/or important experience in intersectional women's and gender issues.
• Strong interdisciplinary background.
• Experience collaborating and grading.
• Cross-cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to work independently.
• Previous teaching/grading experience in WGS and/or related fields.
• Enrollment in the Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies’ graduate certificate program.
Per CAS policy, among applicants meeting the qualifications outlined above, preference will be given to CAS doctoral students, then to CAS master's students.
